A SHORT HISTORY: In 2014, the non-profit organization Tahawus Center (Appleby Foundation, Inc.), and its neighbor the Hollywood Theater, were awarded a $70,000 New York State Council on the Arts matching grant enabling the Hollywood to obtain the critically needed digital projection upgrades.  A condition of the grant was to develop and launch a cultural film series bringing diversity to our local mainstream fare.  The Au Sable Forks Film Series launched in 2015.

The ASF Film Series operates on various evenings monthly in summer with showings at 7pm. Curated programming and post-film discussions with refreshments next door at Tahawus Center are an option of the community series.
